Bella Thorne says filming 'Girl' movie with Mickey Rourke in 2020 was the 'worst'


Following criticism of remarks made by the 72-year-old actor that some have labeled homophobic, former child actor Bella Thorne is criticizing Hollywood veteran Mickey Rourke for alleged on-set misbehavior.

"I had to work with this guy in a scenario where I'm kneeling with my hands zip-tied around my back.  He used a metal grinder on my genitalia through my trousers rather than my kneecap.  Writing, "Repeatedly hitting them," Thorne said.

The letter was scrawled over a screen grab of an article about JoJo Siwa, a former child actor who is now a musician, criticizing Rourke's remarks—which she and producers labeled homophobic—about Siwa on "Celebrity Big Brother."

On the Disney Channel sitcom "Shake It Up," where she costarred with Zendaya, Thorne gave her breakthrough performance.  The 2015 movies "The DUFF" and "The Babysitter" included her later.  She also enjoyed popularity during her time on the pornographic website OnlyFans.

 Thorne has been vocal about the challenges she faced in Hollywood from an early age. She said in a 2022 podcast that when she was ten years old, a director rejected her in a casting procedure because he thought she was "flirting with him," which made him "uncomfortable."
