Prime Video Thriller ‘G20’, Starring Viola Davis as U.S. President, Sets April Premiere Date
In the movie, which comes out on April 10, Davis plays President Danielle Sutton (Davis), who becomes the main target after the G20 meeting is besieged.
As Amazon Prime Video announces the release date for their next action thriller, G20, Viola Davis will take over as Madam President on April 10.
The film, directed by Patricia Riggen, centres on Danielle Sutton (Davis), the president of the United States, who becomes the prime target when the G20 meeting is besieged. After evading the invaders' captivity, she must outsmart the enemy to protect her country, save international leaders, and save her family.
The movie will be accessible via streaming in over 240 countries and territories across the globe.
Riggen declared, "This is Viola Davis like never before — valiantly kicking tonnes of ass in a worldwide thrill ride." "With G20, I wanted to create the kind of timeless, suspenseful action movie that I've always loved, but one that capitalises on the high stakes of our contemporary, technologically sophisticated world."
In addition to Davis, G20 stars Elizabeth Marvel as Joanna Worth, Christopher Farrar as Demetrius Sutton, Antony Starr as Rutledge, Ramón Rodríguez as Agent Manny Ruiz, Douglas Hodge as Oliver Everett, Anthony Anderson as Derek Sutton, and Marsai Martin as Serena Sutton.
"G20 is a heartfelt, high-stakes action movie," producers Davis and Julius Tennon stated. "It has a great ensemble cast and is based on the basic desire we all have to preserve the people and places that are most important to us," its creator, Andrew Lazar, continued.
