Taylor Swift wraps up historic Eras Tour with record-breaking numbers
Taylor Swift’s historic Eras Tour will end on December 8, 2024, after 109 gigs in 21 countries and five continents, with 10.1 million seats sold out. Here are a few of the tour's highlights and record-breaking figures that helped Swift become a millionaire.
On November 1, 2022, the tour was first announced with 27 stops. It soon expanded to 152 gigs, with Swift's Austria shows being canceled three times owing to a foiled terrorist plot, bringing the total number of concerts to 149.
On March 17, 2023, Taylor Swift began the Eras Tour in Glendale, Arizona, performing an incredible forty-four songs in three hours and fifteen minutes. With performances that occasionally lasted up to four hours, she embarked on a global tour that took fans through the various "eras" of her career.
In the six months preceding the Eras Tour, Swift trained by jogging or walking for slow songs, running faster for rapid songs, and performing her whole set list out on the treadmill every day.
