Hailee Steinfeld and Josh Allen hint they're engaged in romantic Instagram post

In their mostly private relationship, Hailee Steinfeld and Josh Allen seem to have taken a significant stride forward.

In a shared Instagram photo on Friday, Steinfeld leans down and presses her forehead on Allen's, who is bowed kneeling in front of a huge flower arch. The ocean is in the background, and cylindrical candles around the two.


Instead of stating their engagement directly, the couple captioned the picture, saying, "♾️ 11•22•24 ♾️."

The couple's representatives have been contacted by USA TODAY for comment.

After more than a year of rumours, the 27-year-old Oscar nominee Steinfeld and the 28-year-old Buffalo Bills quarterback finally made their romance official on Instagram in July.

Rumors about the pair started circulating last spring and one of the first times they were photographed together was on a night out in New York City in May 2023. In one of the photos, Allen had his arm around the "Hawkeye" actress' back.

On July 23, ahead of the 2024 Paris Olympics, Allen soft-launched his relationship in an Instagram post, which led with a photo of himself and Steinfeld looking away from the camera, toward the Eiffel Tower.

Before the couple went public, USA TODAY asked Steinfeld in January about the Buffalo Bills before the team won the AFC East title.

Speaking from across the Golden Globes red carpet on Jan. 7, the actress and singer joked that she felt "real good" about the team's chances that night but added that USA TODAY's Ralphie Aversa was holding up a Stefon Diggs jersey with the "wrong number."
